Comedy sensation The Pajama Men are performing in London until 15th September. The crackpot duo from Albuquerque are named after their habitual stage costume of tradition – cotton pyjamas.  Known to their mothers as Mark Chavez and Shenoah Allen, they met in high school in Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1993.  They perform a hilarious fast paced character driven comedy comprising strange story lines, clever miming and jokes.  Their humour will undoubtedly appeal to the British.

They deliver a clever blend of improvisation and silly voices during their unfailingly spectacular shows. The performances at the Soho Theatre are entirely dependent on the pair’s wit and spontaneity. Each night theatregoers will see a completely new show, prompted by suggestions from the audience. Special guests from the world of comedy are also expected to join them for cameo performances during the show.

They say pajama, we say pyjama – either way what could be better than performing in a pair of comfortable cotton pjs!

“Without props and costumes, but with expert skill and an impish sense of fun, the Pajama Men create a cartoon of the mind – a shape-shifting world in which anything seems not just possible, but imminent.”
– The Guardian

“Every now and again – though all too rarely – a comedy show comes along that casts things in a new light. One can spot echoes of everything from the classic clowning of commedia dell’arte to the sublime silliness of The Mighty Boosh along the way but this American duo ultimately possesses a marvellously unique appeal.”
– Evening Standard
